Fresh veggie market at 6000 feet!

When we went inside one of the mud huts, they had at least 20 different fresh vegetables. They said that there wasn’t going to be a lot for us to buy because they all have to go to the big market soon.

Malam tidak terima tamu = no guests at night

We just wanted to buy one or two carrots and cabbages to make some salad with. Mainly I wanted to see what the mud hut looked like and take selfies with the people.

When we asked for small portions to buy, they opened two huge plastic bags and hung them on a fish scale.

We asked for one cabbage, they put 2kgs of cabbage. We asked for two or three capsicums, they put 10 capsicums. They kept filling more vegetables into the bags.

We walked out and there were so many people gathered to see us!
