Welcome to Papua! You will be surprised to see what goes in your plane cargo pods.

Pigs, chickens, crocodiles, snakes, goats.. you name it.

Check-in Baggage

Before departure, we get our manifest for each flight. It has all the information about what goes in your plane. A departure point, an arrival point, pilot names, names of passengers, pax weight and cargo weight, and you have a total weight written on the manifest. First officers are putting those numbers into a program that calculates weight and balance and centre of gravity to determine if the plane can take off and land safely. Passengers can have 10kgs of free check-in baggage with their ticket, but if they want to carry more of their "stuff", we charge extra by weight. It can be packets of noodles, fresh vegetables, snacks, water, cement, and livestocks. Pretty much anything you can think of, to live in the middle of jungle.

If it needs to be transported, we can transport it.

Rabbit!

Lifeline

For the people in the villages, a plane is their lifeline. Not only for the food that we deliver, but also for the sick. This is a village called 'Bugalaga'. To get there from our base Nabire, it takes about 30 minutes flying. But, if you want to walk, hike, swim, and roll, it will take days in good weather. Imagine you are sick in this village!
